Books:

Considered a core Art History book. It is fantastic. A great engrossing and inspiring book.

This book has been highly recommended to me, so I am getting a copy and will leave a short review as soon as I have read it.

A classic and very practical guide on perspective, lots of clear illustrations.

I do not use the ‘Loomis method’ in a strict rigid sense, but knowing about it helped me improve. I picked up some things I found useful. I know other artists who have adopted his methods a lot more whole heartedly, and the results are impressive. Well worth a look, especially for those struggling with proportions, forms. I think that for cartoons and imaginative drawing, a method like this would be extremely beneficial.
